Yes. Marble benchtops are highly durable, heat resistant, and add a timeless, elegant look to any kitchen. They can last for decades when properly cared for. Just keep in mind they're porous and require regular sealing to stay in top condition.
Marble is highly heat resistant, so you can place hot pots and pans on the surface without damaging it. That said, using trivets or heat pads is still recommended to protect the sealant and keep your benchtop looking its best over time
Clean marble with warm water and a mild, pH-neutral detergent — avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the stone. Reseal the surface regularly (about once a year), use a cutting board when preparing food, and wipe up spills quickly to keep your benchtop looking beautiful for years.
Marble is one of the more premium benchtop materials, so it typically sits at the higher end of the price range. The final cost depends on the type of marble, slab size, thickness, and installation labour. If you love the look of marble but want a more budget-friendly option, our porcelain tiles and clearance stock are well worth a look.
